Tucked inside the old farmhouse of The Hazel River Inn B&B in Culpeper, VA, Peter and Karen have created a twist on the German Stammtisch! Originally meaning a special table for the regulars or shall we say “Chef’s Table”. Traditionally, this is a large table for customers that come weekly… The whole dining room is now a chef’s table dinner experience. Whether you are a first timer or have dined at the Chef’s Table before, Peter and Karen want you to feel like “regulars”. The small dining areas are a far cry from the hustle and bustle of any downtown. Enjoy an intimate dinner for two or let Chef Peter create a menu for a special function up to twenty-five. Chef Peter and Karen work together weekly to create a four course meal with local meats and produce. Have a special request? They can do that too! Reservations are required at “The Table”, but come casual, and enjoy a relaxing evening away from it all. The menu below is a sample menu that is very representative of our ever changing menu!
